One Hope Ephesians 4:4 tells us that we
are gathered in one hope of our calling. 1Peter 3:15 tells us to be ready to give a reason for that hope. Titus 2:13 plainly tells us what
that hope is associated with - the second coming of Christ. In Acts 23:6 Luke tells us, And in 24:15 Paul says, “…having hope toward God, which they themselves also wait for, that there is about to be a rising again of the dead, both of righteous and unrighteous; In Romans 8:20-23 Paul says this hope is the redemption of his body. In 1 Corinthians 15 Paul speaks of Christ’s resurrection and again makes reference to this hope, the resurrection of the dead. In
Colossians 1:5 Paul says this hope is laid up for us in heaven but
we see from 1Thesalonians 2:19 that it will be delivered to us when
Christ returns and raises the dead. In Titus 1:2 this hope is said to be eternal life. We do not have it now. We will have it when Christ returns and God raises the dead. In
Peter 1:3 Peter tells us
Finally, in 1 John 3:2-3 John confirms that, Yes, this is the hope we should have, the coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, when we shall meet Him in the air and so ever be with Him. But is that the ONE hope of most Christians? Read on
